What is the “Crea y Crece” Law?
Law 18/2022, known as the Crea y Crece Law, enacted in the Official State Gazette on September 29, 2022, is a legislative measure aimed at boosting economic growth and innovation in Spain and promotes the mandatory adoption of electronic invoicing in the business environment.
The law establishes mandatory electronic invoicing between companies (B2B), in order to streamline business procedures and reduce the administrative burden. Therefore, all companies and freelancers must issue, send and receive electronic invoices in their commercial relations with other companies and freelancers, as well as the status of invoices, which will ensure compliance with the regulations on commercial delinquency with reliable data on payment terms from customers to suppliers.
